The Brigades groups (known as companies) meet in churches and schools around the country on different nights of the week.

They’re run by fully-qualified volunteer leaders, who are all CRB-checked with designated first-aiders.

Every  company is different - but all groups believe in transforming and enriching the lives of their members and local communities.

Fun and Friendship, Activities, Excitement, and Challenges, designed to inspire and develop individual talent within teamwork.

For all age groups..... yes, and that includes  volunteer helpers, who are always needed to assist and guide.



NEWS

During the lockdown  an organisational review was pursued to identify a way of maintaining the work of the Brigades here, which have a long history at Carters Lane.

It is decided to continue as one Association following the trend happening across the UK. As a result the company was renamed as above.

This natural progression reflects what happens in practice, with many events and camps being held jointly.

Brigade Awards Evening - 2026

Wednesday 15th July -7pm

Everyone from the fellowship is invited to the Brigade annual awards evening. It is important that we show support for our Brigade and for the leaders and youngsters to know that the church appreciates their work and that we celebrate their achievements and successes. Please come along to this event.

This Award Evening has been deferred until Sept , date will be notified.










In 2013 The Girls Brigade nationally celebrated 120 years of achievement.  

The Boys began as a brigade in Glasgow in 1883. Both have long been global organisations.
