Here at Carters Lane we’re a mixed group of people worshipping and taking part in activities, which all began over 200 years ago in a pair of cottages in Illey.

In those days Sunday School was the only way for ordinary folk to gain knowledge and an education.  Creating a church within the cottages was the way the Elders thought was best to serve the community, and so it proved.

The present Church continues this philosophy of reaching out into our community and beyond.  You dont need to be a worshipper for the weekday events.

 Come and join in.

Periodically we choose to support a local charity, and presently this is

Resources for Autism, an active voluntary organisation which is providing resourced practical help for autistic children and adults in the West Midlands area.

This is a positive charity that produces practical help for parents, and positive results for the children and young adults. Look at an animated video about Conor, and think about it.

For our local community we have a monthly Senior Citizens Lunch club, an over 50’s tea & natter club where old and new friendships are made over a cuppa. There are also gentle exercise classes on a Tuesday afternoon, Line dancing on a Wednesday.

For outside organisations we raise money through specific events such as  hosting an annual Coffee Morning for McMillans Nursing which this year (2015) raised over £640, and £390 for the recent 2015 Red Nose Day coffee and cupcake morning.
